This course is awarded by City and Guilds and has been designed for those who want to work in a management position within the health & social care sector, specialising in adult care. The purpose of the City and Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) is to develop the knowledge and skills required by managers and leaders.

Achieving the qualification enables candidates with the skills to innovate and positively address challenges and opportunities in a changing environment. The course covers the key elements of leadership skills within a Health and Social Care Setting.

If you are a registered Care Manager for residential or children services or would like to become one, as per CQC requirements you are required to hold this qualification, as it has replaced the Level 4 Registered Managers qualification.

You will need to achieve a minimum of 90 credits to obtain this qualification.
